Friday's Find: From Wrinkled to Wonderful

Do you remember this wadded up tablecloth that I bought for $5 at Housing Works?

Here's how gorgeous it turned out after I washed and ironed it -- all ready for many more years of fun in the sun!

  4. Oh I love those old travel tablecloths! I gave my sweetie a silk folorida travel scarf... that she promptly lost on a cruise ship. Your's is a treasure!

  5. That tablecloth? In that condition? For that price? A total steal! Congrats. I'm sure you'll enjoy it for years to come.
Just FYI: in case it ever gets stained... you can throw it into the wash with detergent and a half cup of Clorox bleach (not the non-chlorine type, the real stuff) with impunity. Those tablecloths from the 1930's and 1940's were vat-dyed and will not be damaged by bleach. I know this from long experience!
