The Find: A Table Treasure

Fun-in-the-Sun Season is almost upon us, reminding me of this image Jim Franco shot in the Fire Island community of Saltaire for The Find The Housing Work Book of Decorating With Thrift Shop Treasures, Flea Market Objects, and Vintage Details. We headed out to this secluded get-away to document the laid back way people decorated their beach homes, armed with a few props, like this vintage tablecloth from a friend in Austin and a gigantic pink cake!

I mean, who knows when you're going to need a pink cake? This one takes center stage on a relaxed sun porch as part of an imaginary tea party. And it tasted pretty good when we devoured it as we broke for lunch!

If you would like to share with me your favorite finds, leave them for me on The Find 's Facebook page. But you'll have to click the "Like" button first.

Always Frugal, Always Fabulous,

The Elegant Thrifter

  1. What a lovely space to sit and relax! We mix and match vintage tablecloths on our picnic table and farmhouse table. It gives a lovely feel of casual comfort.
