Mystery Giveaway: Clue Number Two

Now this glamour gal most certainly would have appreciated the mystery gift I'm offering to the first person who guesses it correctly. While Mom wore makeup sparingly, during warm weather instead of stockings she applied leg makeup for a summer sheen and prayed that it wouldn't rain. I'm most certain Mom also had a version of this lovely, lady mystery gift.

If you're new to this game, take a peek at yesterday's post for Clue Number One. Leave a comment and give me your best guess. The mystery prize will be revealed on Friday, November 27, and the winner announced on December 7.

The Elegant Thrifter

Always Frugal, Always Fabu-lash...I mean...Fabulous!

  1. Stan, I am MISSING YOU! It feels like you are half a world away. Oh wait, you are:)
    Come Home Soon!

I am going to guess a Vintage Swim Cap!

  2. Hmmm... how about an old vintage mirror... or a vintage dresser set... oh I can't wait to see this mystery gift... it is making me crazy... patience has never been one of my strongest traits.

    Hugs Deb

  3. I'm guessing a vintage compact! Can't wait for more clues and too see what the mystery gift really is!

  4. Wow, you are not making this easy! Fun, but not easy. :) I've gotta say, I have no idea. Hope you are doing well and having a great time.

  5. OK, so yesterday's answer was way off. Today I'll guess it's one of those plastic hair caps that my mother always had in her purse in case a raindrop fell, threatening to melt her beehive.

  6. It just came to me... a vintage hair dryer...

  7. A 50's ladys head vase? with big ol' lashes?

  8. I will guess a rain bonnet!

    This is fun!

  9. Wow. I have to put my thinking cap on, but I'm with LuLu....but she was first! I think it's a rain bonnet too.
Love your blog and this fantastic Maybelline ad! I wish I could step into a time machine....

  10. Okay....waaaaaayyy offf with guess number one.
Is it a vintage train case??

  11. I think it might be a jar of Dippity-Do! Oh, the wonderful clean smell!
