Reuse & Repurpose: Get Out of Bed!

Now what do you do with an old bed frame that just doesn't fit into your current home design? If you are Toni Cutts over at The Tattered Cottage, you give it a whole new life by turning it into an elegant bench!

Above is her creation before she added a coat of black paint. Note how she used every part of the bed, taking the headboard for the back and splitting the footboard for the arms.

Her finished product is chic and modern, and would be impossible to buy new in any store.
With a little bit of elbow grease and a whole lot of imagination, even thrift finds that appear to have lost their purpose find an entirely new life.

Now that's the spirit!

Always Frugal, Always Fabulous!

  1. Very, very clever! A flat seat cushion would help, it seems.

  5. Hey Stan!

Love this! She did a great job. I am actually working on trying to use a few of my old pieces to make a trumeau mirror. We'll see how it turns out!

    Take care,
    Adrienne
