The Gift of Thrift: Guess the Hostess Gift!

During this evening's signing of The Find: The Housing Works Book of Decorating With Thrift Shop Treasures, Flea Market Objects, and Vintage Details at Luticia Clementine's on the Historic Independence Square, I will present one of my signature hostess gifts...one that you might just recognize from my past postings.

Either way, I'm going to offer you just a couple of clues to see if you can correctly identify tonight's fabulous mystery gift. The first clue is this gigantic box that arrived in Independence yesterday from San Francisco. It's filled with cans of one of my favorite fruits -- sugar free of course.

The second clue is this gorgeous retro cake server that is part of the hostess gift. It came from a thrift store in Independence and cost $9.50. I won't give away what's under this silvery dome just yet. You'll have to come to Luticia Clementine's tonight from 5 pm to 8 pm, 206 N. Liberty St., in Independence to find out!

Garage sale-ing like there's no tomorow!

  1. Hi Stan,

It was so much fun to meet you at Sharleen's shop---thanks for autographing my copy of your book and signing a card for my pal Jeanne (one of the PINKS) who lives in North Carolina. She purchased one of your books when we visited Sharleen's shop just before your booksigning. She was thrilled to have the card from you.

I hope you've sold tons of books and you've had a great time touring. Best wishes,

    Dana
